An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Uphold constitutional rights - stop indefinite migrant detentions

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The proposal to suspend due process protections for migrants is a blatant violation of constitutional rights and the very foundations of justice. There is no invasion or rebellion that would legally justify such an extreme measure. This authoritarian overreach must be condemned and stopped immediately. I urge you to take decisive action to uphold the rule of law, protect civil liberties, and preserve the system of checks and balances that defines American democracy. Enabling indefinite detention without judicial oversight would set a dangerous precedent and erode the values this nation was built upon. As an elected representative, it is your duty to safeguard the Constitution and prevent this unconstitutional abuse of power. The American people are counting on you to be a voice of reason and a defender of human rights.
