Restore USAID Funding — Children Are Dying

56 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

Restore USAID funding now. The claim that no children died as a result of DOGE's destruction of USAID is a lie, and I need you to say so publicly and fight to reverse these cuts before more people die. The deaths are documented and named. Jane, a child in a Kenyan refugee camp, starved after food rations were slashed. Mohammad Omar, age 1, died of malnutrition and meningitis in Afghanistan after USAID-funded hospital staff and supplies disappeared. Achol Deng, age 8 in Sudan, died when her USAID-funded HIV medication was cut. Jennifer Inyaa and her five-year-old son Evan both died within weeks of losing that same medication. These are not statistics. These are children with names and parents who buried them. The Lancet estimates USAID cuts may cause 14 million deaths, including 4.5 million children under 5, by 2030. Over 500,000 children are believed to have already died. This program cost less than 1% of the federal budget and accounted for over a quarter of all global development assistance. The math on what we destroyed is staggering. Demand a full accounting of these deaths, speak their names on the record, and do everything in your power to restore this funding.
