Restore America's International Standing

President Trump's reckless behavior is destroying our international reputation. I need you to speak out against his diplomatic failures and work to restore America's standing in the world. Our allies won't help us with Iran. We've been downgraded in the democracy index because of assaults on free expression. Trump tried to blackmail Denmark over Greenland, calls Canada's Prime Minister "Governor Carney," and posted that Venezuela should become our 51st state after they beat us in baseball. He claims he can "do anything I want with Cuba" and says he'll pick Iran's next leader. This isn't normal diplomatic friction. We are hated as a nation now because one man treats foreign policy like a reality show. I've seen the contempt on the faces of people who used to respect us. Our allies are turning away when we need them most. You have a platform and a vote. Use both. Condemn these actions publicly. Support legislation that restores congressional oversight of foreign policy. Co-sponsor measures that rebuild our alliances and diplomatic institutions. The damage gets worse every day, and silence from elected officials reads as complicity.
