Another Free Pass for the Rich—Stop Halting the CTA!

I can’t believe I’m even writing this, but here we are. The recent decision to halt the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is absolutely infuriating, and it feels like another gut punch to the American people. Why are we making it easier for the richest, most powerful people in this country to hide their money and avoid paying their fair share?
Corporations already get every handout and loophole imaginable, and now you’re going to make it worse by undermining one of the only laws that’s been created to hold them accountable? The CTA was designed to expose who’s behind these shady financial dealings—and now we’re just letting criminals get away with it? What kind of message does that send to the rest of us who are trying to play by the rules?
Oh right the Trump Administration only cares about criminals if they’re brown. But white collar crime? Birds of a feather, clearly.
This is more than just bad policy—it’s reckless, and it could have serious consequences for national security, tax evasion, and money laundering. By halting the enforcement of this law, you’re turning a blind eye to corruption and enabling the rich to continue exploiting the system.
I don’t understand how you can justify this. The CTA isn’t a burden on businesses—it’s a tool for protecting the integrity of our financial system. The people who are hurt by this decision are the ones who have the least power, while the ones who already have everything get another free pass.
I’m asking you to fix this. Reinstate the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act and stop making excuses for the people who are already gaming the system. This is a huge step backward, and I won’t stand for it.
