Block the Trump Arch — A Vanity Project Dressed Up as a Military Base

Block the construction of the 250-foot arch being built across from Arlington National Cemetery. The President announced on September 21 that it will become a "Military Complex/Triumphal Arch" with snipers, drones, and stored ammunition — on National Park Service land, in a traffic circle, two miles from Reagan National's runways. The Pentagon has not confirmed any military request. CNN asked and got silence. This is a monument to one man being painted camouflage so Congress won't vote against "the troops."
The safety problems alone should end this. Pentagon explosives rules require formal siting, licensing, and mandatory safety distances from roads and the public. A tourist attraction in a traffic circle cannot meet those standards. The FAA already wants a permanent flame on the roof because the structure threatens flight paths — the same stretch of the Potomac where 67 people died in a collision in January 2025. The Park Service's own review found the arch damages 37 historic sites. They're rushing to approve it anyway.
This project bypassed Congress, is being challenged in court by three Vietnam veterans, and exists because the President told a CBS reporter it was for "Me." Use every tool available — funding blocks, oversight hearings, legislative holds — to stop it.
