Reject mass deportation of legal immigrants maintaining America's values

I strongly oppose the Supreme Court's decision to allow the Trump administration to revoke the temporary legal status of over 500,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. This cruel and unjustified action will upend the lives of nearly half a million people who have been lawfully living and working in the United States. Many have established deep roots in their communities over years or even decades. Revoking their legal status en masse, without any individualized review, is an unprecedented and draconian measure that will unleash widespread chaos and suffering. These individuals face being stripped of their ability to legally work, making them suddenly unemployable. They will become undocumented and subject to potential detention and deportation, tearing families apart. This represents the largest de-legalization of immigrants in modern history. The Supreme Court has failed to properly consider the devastating human consequences of this policy. I urge you to use your voice and position to speak out against this misguided decision by the Trump administration. Comprehensive immigration reform is needed that provides a pathway to permanent legal status for these longtime members of our communities, not cruel policies that undermine American values of human rights and human dignity. This unacceptable injustice must be stopped.
