Vote Against the SAVE Act — It Will Disenfranchise Millions

Vote no on the SAVE Act. New polling from Strength In Numbers/Verasight shows that roughly 7% of currently registered voters — potentially millions of Americans — would be effectively blocked from voting under this law because they can't easily produce documentary proof of citizenship. That's not a minor inconvenience. That's disenfranchisement at scale. The burden falls hardest on specific groups: 15% of Black registered voters say they'd struggle to prove citizenship, compared to 7% of white voters. Voters earning under $50,000 are five times more likely to face difficulty than those earning over $150,000. Even Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski has acknowledged that rural Americans often lack easy access to a registrar to present these documents. The law doesn't just create a paperwork hurdle — it systematically strips voting rights from lower-income, younger, and Black Americans. The polling also shows that the more people learn about this bill, the less they support it. Among the most informed voters, support drops to 53% with opposition at 45%. This law can't survive scrutiny. Block it.
