Their bill would require U.S. Customs and Border Protection to issue refunds for the tariffs within 180 days and to pay interest on the refunded amount. This approach not only ensures fairness but also restores confidence in the rule of law and the integrity of our trade enforcement system. These tariffs disrupted supply chains, inflated prices, and strained American manufacturers and small businesses. Now that their illegality has been confirmed, prompt restitution is the least the federal government can do to make things right.
