An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand Accountability for USS Abraham Lincoln's Record-Breaking Deployment

439 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

The sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln have been at sea for over 250 days without a port call, setting a modern record, while their families report deteriorating living conditions and worsening mental health. When asked if eight and a half months was too long, the President said "not nearly long enough." That response is disqualifying. You need to act. This is not a partisan talking point. Roughly 5,000 service members have been kept at sea, cut off from basic relief, while Secretary Hegseth dismisses family concerns as "completely misrepresented" without offering a single specific rebuttal. These are the people this administration claims to honor. The gap between that rhetoric and this reality demands a congressional response, not silence. Hold hearings. Demand a full accounting of conditions aboard the Lincoln. Use every oversight tool available to investigate how this deployment was extended and who authorized it. Service members and their families deserve answers, and every day you wait is another day this administration faces zero consequences for treating our troops as expendable.
