An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

URGENT: Support TPS Status for Venezuela

51 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

As your constituent, I’m writing to urge you to sign the discharge petition for H.R. 3310, the “Venezuela TPS Act of 2025.” The June 2026 earthquakes in Venezuela are a catastrophe. Imagine if something similar had taken place along the San Andreas fault, or in the Pacific Northwest, or near Memphis and St. Lousis, or in Hawaii or Alaska. All of these areas are vulnerable to earthquakes of this magnitude. In response to the Venezuelan emergency, it’s essential that Congress take practical, timely action so vulnerable Venezuelans in the United States have stability while their situation at home remains unsafe. Signing the discharge petition is a quick, practical step to move this bipartisan, commonsense legislation out of committee consideration and bring it to the House floor for a vote as one element of responding to the catastrophe in Venezuela. Congress should also take action to ensure that Venezuelan's can be admitted as refugees and asylum seekers. Please sign the discharge petition at your earliest opportunity.
