Condemn Joint Task Force Vanguard's Targeting of Political Protesters

Speak out publicly against Joint Task Force Vanguard. The DOJ launched this initiative in March 2026 under NSPM-7, a presidential directive that explicitly treats opposition to the administration — including "anti-Americanism, anti-Capitalism, and anti-Christianity" — as signs of domestic terrorism. That is not a counterterrorism standard. That is a political enemies list with federal prosecutors attached.
The tactics being deployed are designed for the mafia, not protesters. Real-time communications interception, conspiracy statutes, and confidential informants are now being used against anti-ICE demonstrators in Minneapolis and Cop City protesters in Atlanta. Prosecutors collected over 20 terabytes of data on the Minneapolis defendants alone. Georgetown Law professor and former federal prosecutor Paul Butler has said directly that these tools are less appropriate for political protesters than for violent criminal organizations. He's right.
One of Vanguard's co-directors, Brian W. Lynch, previously published pieces claiming COVID-19 death tolls were a media conspiracy to hurt Trump's reelection. The DOJ confirmed he wrote them. This task force is being run by ideologues using the full weight of federal law enforcement to punish dissent. You have a constitutional obligation to say so. Hold hearings, demand answers from Todd Blanche, and make clear that criminalizing political opposition is not something this body will tolerate in silence.
