An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Fulfill your Constitutional Responsibilities

22 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS: The Constitution Governs Us. Read It! American Democracy and Your Oath to Uphold Our Constitution Your oath of office requires you to uphold our Constitution. It’s not simply a good idea: Article VI states that members of Congress and other officials must support the Constitution for all Americans, not just their constituents. You are breaking your promise to the people of this country by abdicating your Constitutional powers to check this rogue president. You have surrendered your authority overseeing government agencies and how our money is spent, and you are complicit in our rights being trampled. You break the promise by allowing cuts to social safety net programs, hurting tens of millions of people to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest. This is wrong; you know better. Keeping your promise to the American people, or breaking it, will determine if you are worthy of being re-elected on November 3, 2026. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE are COUNTING ON YOU to DO THE RIGHT THING VOTE NO on the BIG UGLY BUDGET BILL
