Vote to Impeach Secretary Hegseth
21 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!
As your constituent, I urge you to approve the articles of impeachment filed by Representative Yassamin Ansari against Secretary Hegseth for high crimes and misdemeanors: the unauthorized attack on Iran; deadly strikes on suspected drug smuggling boats; sharing classified information on Signal; withholding facts about civilian casualties; bringing disrepute upon the Armed Forces of the United States; and abuse of power politicizing the military.
Even Senator Thom Tillis, a Republican who voted to confirm Hegseth, now questions his fundamental competence. Regarding the Caribbean strikes, Tillis demands accountability for what happened during the second attack on survivors, insisting the Defense Secretary must maintain "tight execution" and meticulous documentation to ensure compliance with laws of war. Tillis has stated bluntly: "If someone knowingly launched a second missile at that boat, which led to the deaths of the other two, then they have to be held accountable."
Tillis's concerns extend beyond the Caribbean. He has criticized Hegseth's Iran policy—the administration claimed weeks ago to have "obliterated" Iran's defenses, yet now accepts a deal allowing Iran to retain nuclear material. He has condemned the "careless" reduction of U.S. force posture in Europe and the forced removal of experienced senior officers like General Christopher Donahue, calling these moves "amateur hour at best and deadly at worst."
These aren't partisan attacks. They're warnings from a Republican colleague that Secretary Hegseth lacks the judgment required to lead the world's most consequential institution. Unauthorized military strikes undermine Congress's constitutional war powers and endanger our service members. Concealing civilian casualties and retaliating against those who uphold the rule of law betray our nation's values.
Approving these impeachment articles reaffirms that no official—regardless of party—stands above the law. Our democracy depends on honesty, oversight, and accountability. Please support this critical measure in defense of our constitutional principles.
