You can’t yell about the Democrats being crooks when Trump sells pardons. Paul Walczak was convicted of defrauding the U.S. government—over $10 million in unpaid employment taxes. He was sentenced, held accountable under the law, and ordered to repay millions. That process—justice through due process—is the foundation of a functioning republic. But that foundation crumbled the moment Donald Trump issued a presidential pardon, just weeks after Walczak’s mother paid $1 million to attend a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago. You have made clear your intent to root out waste, fraud, and abuse in government. So explain to the American people: How does pardoning a known tax criminal—because of a well-placed political donation—advance that goal? You can’t run on fiscal responsibility while excusing white-collar theft. You can’t weaponize the Department of Justice against the poor while turning a blind eye to wealthy insiders buying their way out of prison. This is not about compassion. It’s about corruption. And every time you remain silent, you erode public trust, delegitimize the justice system, and send a message that laws don’t apply equally. No administration—no matter how politically convenient—should be permitted to sell clemency as a campaign perk. If you care about equal justice under law, then speak up. Because this isn’t just unethical—it may well be criminal.
