The promotion of Kingsley Wilson to press secretary at the Department of Defense is deeply concerning given her well-documented history of promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories and rhetoric. Her remarks denying the tragic lynching of Leo Frank, praising Confederate leaders, and pushing the repugnant "Great Replacement Theory" have no place in public service, let alone serving as a spokesperson for the U.S. military. Elevating someone who has expressed such flagrant bigotry undermines American values of equality and sends a disturbing message about the military's priorities. The Pentagon should immediately rescind this ill-advised promotion and disavow Wilson's abhorrent views in order to restore public trust and affirm its commitment to representing all Americans honorably and without discrimination.
