Yes, reform SCOTUS, but campaign on abortion and Project 2025 first

To: Sen. Markey, Rep. Pressley, Pres. Biden, Sen. Warren

From: A constituent in Brighton, MA

July 18

I was pleased to see the news that President Biden is planning on unveiling a plan to reform the Supreme Court. It's about damn time. Let's just hope it's not too late. Having said that, The Supreme Court is actually only the third most important issue you all should be campaigning on between now and November 5. The first is abortion. Everywhere abortion has been on the ballot since Dobbs, Democrats have over-performed compared to prior elections. Trump got Dobbs overturned. The GOP wants to ban abortion nationwide. Any day these facts aren't in the news is a missed opportunity, and we're running out of days. The second is Project 2025. The GOP has told us what they want to do, and it will make life hell for every single person in every single state. You could run a different ad every single day between now and the election talking about something horrific in Project 2025 and not cover all of it. Supreme Court reform is important, but the Supreme Court isn't directly hurting people; it's enabling the GOP to hurt people. Restrictions on abortion hurt people directly. Project 2025 will hurt people directly. You need to be getting the word out. If your strategists are telling you otherwise, find new strategists.
