Stop deporting US citizen children with critical medical needs

To: Rep. Issa, Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff, Pres. Trump

From: A constituent in Borrego Springs, CA

April 28

The deportation of US citizen children, including one with metastatic cancer, along with their immigrant mothers is an egregious violation of due process and human rights. Deporting American citizens from their own country, especially vulnerable minors requiring critical medical care, is unconscionable and illegal. This heavy-handed immigration enforcement tactic disregards the fundamental rights and wellbeing of children. We demand an immediate investigation into these unlawful deportations and the expedited return of the deported US citizen children to ensure they receive proper care and are reunited with their families. Depriving children of their citizenship rights and healthcare access is inhumane. We urge a course correction respecting due process protections for all persons, regardless of immigration status.
