I have become aware of the Nancy Mace bill that will make it impossible for transgender people to use bathrooms on Federal property. This bill is discriminatory. It exists to harm and oppress a marginalized group. It has no value to "protect" anyone. In fact it is harmful. Inability to use the restroom is medically harmful to people who have medical conditions. This bill serves only to stir up and inflame an existing climate of hatred against a specialized group of Americans. Americans deserve all the same rights as each other. Gender identity is no basis to deny rights. You must vote against this disastrous and hateful bill.
