Hello. I'm writing because I am fed up with Trump's reckless spending, and only Congress can do something about it. Nov. 1 marks the potential end of SNAP benefits, while 700,000 federal workers go without pay. But Trump just spent $3.4 million to fly to Mar-a-Lago and throw a lavish Great Gatsby Halloween party. I can't help but compare this to Marie Antoinette's "let them eat cake" moment. Trump's actions speak louder than his rambled words... he will let the poor of our country starve while he spends tax dollars on improvement and parties. This is wrong on several levels. He needs to be held accountable, and Congress is the only group that can do so. So I'm asking you to hold the president accountable for his reckless spending while others go without.
