I’m writing today to urge you to stop the reckless actions of RFK. Most recent in a long line of bad choices is the decision to cut funding for mRNA vaccines. Kennedy clearly does not understand science. According to news sources, such as AP news on 8/6/25, Kennedy claims that mRNA vaccines don’t prevent disease. That is not the vaccine’s purpose. Vaccines, such as flu or COVID, weaken the body’s reaction to avoid serious or life-threatening infections, which saves lives. mRNA vaccines are faster to create and have been proven effective, but Kennedy chooses to ignore the leading experts and scientists. The president is also irrationally allowing Kennedy to undermine U.S. leadership in biomedical research and development. This needs to stop. Neither Trump or Kennedy are scientists, nor do they seem to believe in current scientific practices. Combined, this puts Americans’ heath at stake. Please speak up and defend the Dept. of Health and Human Services and the vital work they do. Kennedy’s decision to slash $500 million in government funded research projects is reckless and could cost lives. Financial decisions should be made by Congress, and that’s you.
