Furthermore, imposing an arms embargo on Israel would send a strong message that the international community will not tolerate the deliberate targeting of media personnel. Israel's impunity enables the perpetuation of violence against civilians. Concrete action through sanctions and accountability measures is urgently needed to uphold freedom of the press and protect those courageously bringing these stories to light.
