I am writing to urge you to vote NO on HR7147, the standalone DHS appropriations bill. I, and most of your constituents, believe that ICE should be DEFUNDED and ABOLISHEd but I understand this is not something that is going to happen in one fell swoop. But that doesn’t mean that we just sit back and let all of ICE and CPB’s funding continue as is. ICE is a monstrous, overfunded terrorist organization working on behalf of our inept president, with no accountability, or clear mandate other that to collect brown and black bodies. Our tax dollars should no go to funding this militaristic perversity. The current DHS appropriations bills makes no concessions to public outcry: no further oversight, training, scaling back. Just more of the god-awful same. DO NOT VOTE FOR THIS BILL.
