I am a constituent writing to express concern and to request clarification regarding your response during a recent congressional session in which President Trump asked whether Americans should be prioritized over illegal immigrants.
If you did not stand in response to that question, I would like to understand why. Many constituents—including myself—believe that the primary responsibility of our elected officials is to protect and prioritize the interests of American citizens. Failing to clearly affirm that principle raises serious questions about where those priorities lie.
This is not a question of compassion versus cruelty, but of responsibility and the rule of law. Americans expect their representatives to advocate first for their safety, economic well-being, and sovereignty. Silence or refusal to affirm that position sends a troubling message to the people you serve.
I would appreciate a direct response explaining your stance and how it aligns with your duty to represent American citizens. Transparency on this issue is important to me as a voter.
