I read your canned response about the SAVE Act. I hear the talking points—but it’s still just noise. The truth? This bill solves nothing and creates real barriers for real voters.
You’re touting protections we already have. Noncitizen voting is already illegal in federal elections. There’s no wave of fraud—just fearmongering. And now, instead of making voting easier for eligible Americans, you’ve backed legislation that demands documents millions of us don’t readily have.
You rejected an amendment that would’ve helped married women resolve name discrepancies—because apparently helping women isn’t the kind of integrity we’re safeguarding.
You leaned on REAL ID, ignoring the fact that DHS delayed its rollout again because it’s a bureaucratic disaster. If the government can’t manage it, why are voters being punished?
Meanwhile, the GOP continues enabling chaos—approving unqualified loyalists, defending an unhinged president who shrugs at the Constitution, and letting our rights erode so your party can keep its grip on power.
America isn’t stupid. We see through the distraction.
So no, your letter didn’t reassure me. It reminded me how deeply broken this has become.
Do your job. Fix the mess you and your party allowed. Stop playing defense for a man, and start standing up for the country.
