Urgent Call to Condemn Israel's Genocide and Halt All Complicit Arms Sales I am writing to you today as a horrified and outraged constituent. The United States is actively facilitating a genocide in Gaza through its unconditional military and diplomatic support for Israel. I demand that you immediately take decisive action by publicly condemning the State of Israel for its genocide and supporting an immediate, permanent halt to all arms transfers. My demand is based on the overwhelming evidence documented by leading human rights organizations, on-the-ground reporting, and the preliminary ruling of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which found the case of Israel committing genocide in Gaza to be plausible. The ICJ has ordered Israel to prevent acts of genocide, yet with U.S. weapons, the killing has only intensified. Reports, such as the one from Ground News titled "Israeli violations threaten to break the truce," continue to highlight how Israeli actions are systematically destroying Gaza and its people. This is not a conflict between equals; it is the annihilation of a civilian population through bombing, starvation, and disease. By continuing to supply the weapons and political cover for this campaign, the United States is not a neutral party but a co-belligerent in this genocide. Our nation's legacy is now stained by the images of murdered children, obliterated families, and the deliberate destruction of a society. This complicity is a profound moral catastrophe and a strategic failure that isolates us from the global community and betrays our claimed values. Therefore, I demand you take the following actions: 1. Publicly and unequivocally condemn Israel's ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. 2. Co-sponsor and vigorously advocate for legislation that immediately halts the transfer of all offensive arms and military aid to Israel. This halt must be permanent and must only be reconsidered after a full, independent investigation and when all acts of genocide have ceased. 3. Use your oversight power to investigate and end all U.S. complicity in these atrocities, ensuring that not one more dollar of our tax money or one more bomb is used to commit war crimes and genocide. Silence and inaction are direct forms of complicity. There is no neutral stance in a genocide. You must choose: will you be on the side of humanity and international law, or will you be complicit in the destruction of the Palestinian people? I expect your immediate and public action on this matter. My vote, and the votes of many in your constituency, will depend on your moral courage to do what is right.
