Israel is deliberately engineering a famine in Gaza — while 3 months worth of food and water sits just miles away, blocked by Israeli forces from entering. Meanwhile, GHF ‘aid sites’ see scores of Palestinians slaughtered every day for the crime of queuing to obtain what little food is being distributed. People are now going days without meals. Over the last 5 months, Israel has blocked humanitarian organisations from delivering aid and forced Gaza’s population into an ever-shrinking area of land. With 86.3% of Gaza now occupied by Israeli forces, and vast areas already ethnically cleansed, life for Palestinians is becoming close to impossible.  In 21 months, Gaza has been bombed with the force of six Hiroshima nuclear bombs — entire neighbourhoods reduced to rubble, infrastructure systematically destroyed, and no safe place left for the population to take refuge. In Gaza’s hospitals — where medical staff have worked tirelessly under siege for nearly 2 years — World Central Kitchen has informed them they can no longer provide the one meal a day to staff. Supplies have run out. Preventing access to food violates the measures set forward by the ICJ in their interim ruling of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, whilst attacks on civilian objects such as agriculture, live stock and markets all constitute war crimes. These egregious and consistent acts by Israel demonstrate the intention to eliminate an entire civilian population from existence.  I call on you to ensure the government: • ⁠Imposes full, comprehensive sanctions on Israel. • Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo — ending all import and export activity with Israel. • Immediately end all arms sales cooperation. • Ensure the unimpeded access of aid and humanitarian organizations, and the suspension of GHF’s deadly “aid” sites. You have a duty to prevent genocide. Act now.
