I write to you with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency regarding the ongoing Palestinian holocaust and the abhorrent treatment of those who dare to protest against it. The systematic violence and dehumanization inflicted upon Palestinians are not just international crimes; they reflect a moral failure on our part as a nation. The continued arms shipments to Israel, in direct violation of both domestic Leahy laws and international law, must be halted immediately. We cannot stand idly by while our government supports a regime that commits atrocities against an entire population. The documented evidence of these war crimes is readily available, witnessed daily by millions of Americans who are forced to confront the reality of this catastrophe. The callous hypocrisy of State Department spokesperson Matt Miller, who spreads Israeli propaganda on national television, is an insult to our collective intelligence. How can he, or anyone in his position, ignore the overwhelming evidence of the suffering endured by Palestinians? It is a deliberate attempt to distort the truth and suppress the voices of those who speak out against these injustices. The treatment of protesters—smeared and dehumanized for calling attention to these atrocities—reveals a disturbing pattern of silencing dissent in our society. We cannot allow our government to paint these brave individuals as terrorists while they stand in solidarity with victims of oppression. Moreover, the Democratic Party has completely lost its way, claiming to be so concerned with saving our democracy from Trump while simultaneously doing everything in its power to lose the election by appeasing apartheid Israel. They are ignoring the voices of 61% of voters across party lines who support an arms embargo and an end to complicity in these atrocities. As we approach the elections, it is imperative that elected officials demonstrate true leadership. The American people are demanding action. They are demanding an end to complicity in this ongoing violence and a commitment to justice that aligns with our core values. We call for an immediate cessation of arms sales and a reckoning with the grave violations of both domestic and international law that our government continues to endorse. It is time to put an end to the hypocrisy and stand firmly against the Palestinian holocaust. We must champion the rights of those who have been silenced for too long. The world is watching, and history will judge us harshly if we fail to act.
