Protect migrants' legal status from unjust revocation

To: Rep. Donaghue, Sen. Spilka, Rep. Clark, Gov. Healey, Pres. Trump, Sen. Warren, Sen. Markey

From: A verified voter in Framingham, MA

April 25

The decision to revoke the legal status of over 500,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela is inhumane and goes against American values. These individuals were previously welcomed through a legal immigration process under the Biden administration. Forcibly deporting them after establishing lives in the United States is cruel and disrupts families and communities. This action appears motivated by xenophobia rather than legitimate policy concerns. Urging self-deportation and threatening arrest for those who remain displays a callous disregard for human rights. The administration claims concerns over fraud, but provides no evidence that a robust 500,000 people exploited the system improperly. I urge you to speak out against this unjust policy and explore all options to protect these migrants from being uprooted and expelled from the communities they now call home. Forcing mass self-deportation is an unacceptable stain on America's legacy as a nation of immigrants. Please take a stand against this violation of human dignity.
