Condemn Israel for airstriking World Central Kitchen aid workers

To: Sen. Blumenthal, Sen. Murphy, Rep. Courtney, Pres. Biden

From: A verified voter in Marlborough, CT

December 2

The recent Israel airstrike that killed five Palestinians, including three World Central Kitchen aid workers, is an unconscionable act of violence that must be condemned in the strongest terms. Targeting humanitarian workers whose sole mission is to provide food aid to a population suffering under a brutal military siege is a flagrant violation of international law and basic human decency. This attack compounds the immense suffering already inflicted on the people of Gaza by Israel's relentless bombardment and blockade. We call for an immediate investigation into this airstrike and for those responsible to be held accountable. Moreover, Israel must cease its indiscriminate attacks on Palestinian civilians and permit humanitarian aid organizations to safely carry out their life-saving work without fear of being targeted. The world cannot stand by as such atrocities are committed with impunity. Justice and human rights for the Palestinian people must be upheld. www.palestinechronicle.com/wck-pauses-gaza-operations-after-israeli-airstrike-kills-aid-workers/ I demand you do everything in your power to: - Support the ICC for issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu, and oppose all efforts to sanction the ICC – Hold Israel accountable to a permanent, immediate ceasefire and for their repeat violations of international law – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid - Support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace – Secure the immediate release and safety of all hostages, including Palestinians held by Israel in "military prisons", including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7/24 – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce U.S. laws like Leahy Law and the Arms Export Control Act – Resume full funding of UNRWA and allocate more funds to aid humanitarian efforts in Gaza – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict - Void all anti-BDS laws and other laws that infringe on my right to freedom of speech to criticize any political ideology or country, and to use my money in ways that align with my values
