Reject unconstitutional immigration policies, defend due process rights

To: Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted, Rep. Claggett, Rep. Balderson, Pres. Trump, Sen. Schaffer, Gov. DeWine

From: A constituent in Reynoldsburg, OH

April 26

Trump keeps ignoring our rights because you let him! The actions described in the Justice Department memo raise grave constitutional concerns about due process and civil liberties protections. Allowing warrantless home searches and deportations without any judicial review would violate fundamental rights and ignore centuries of legal precedent. While enforcing immigration laws is important, it must be done through proper procedures that uphold essential freedoms and human rights. Unchecked executive power poses a severe threat to our democracy and system of checks and balances. The courts have already struck down key aspects of this approach, demonstrating its illegality. Please act swiftly to realign immigration enforcement efforts with the Constitution and protect the rights of all people within our borders, regardless of immigration status. Overreaching policies that trample due process only breed more injustice and undermine public trust in our institutions.
