I am deeply concerned about the funding freezes to medical research. Biotech and academic research funded by federal grants has made us a the international capitol of medicine; we are industry leaders, and the freezing of federal grant funding for medical research inhibits our international standing. It also will directly hurt people who may have been healed by our advances in medicine, which are achieved through research. I am also concerned by proposed cuts to FDA and medical regulators. They ensure industry’s innovation is used properly to benefit the American public. We need their expertise to protect Americans medically, just as we need service people to protect us physically. Please consider stopping the funding freezes and planned layoffs/de-regulation in the bio-medical industry. Thank you.
