December 17

As we approach the holiday season—a time focused on compassion, generosity, and supporting one another—I want to express my deep concern about the potential for mass deportations and the harm these policies would inflict on our community. Many of my neighbors, friends, and colleagues are integral to the life and prosperity of Arkansas. They run small businesses, volunteer at local schools, and participate in community organizations. Policies leading to mass deportations risk tearing families apart, damaging our economy, and undermining the very values that define us as a welcoming and strong community. As my representative, I respectfully ask for clarity on where you stand. Do you support mass deportation measures? If so, how far are you willing to let these actions go within our state? Understanding your stance will help me, and many others, prepare for what lies ahead. I urge you to consider the long-term impact such policies would have, not only on the individuals directly affected but on our broader social and economic well-being. Instead, I hope we can work toward solutions that uphold our shared values, foster stability, and strengthen our sense of inclusion. Thank you for taking the time to consider this urgent matter. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
