Stop arms sales to Israel

To: Pres. Biden, Rep. Molinaro, Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand

From: A verified voter in Franklin, NY

October 1

Israel’s Prime Minister has led a slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, and he’s now turned his sights on Lebanon. He is using weapons we sold him. He is calling strikes while he’s on our soil. And because you all fear AIPAC, you will not speak against him. Bernie Sanders has introduced a bill to denounce Israel’s war, and another to halt our sale of weapons to them. This is not anti-Semitism. It is anti-genocide. It is anti-Netanyahu. Netanyahu is Israel’s Trump - causing chaos to defer the criminal charges he faces. And we allow it because we fear a lobbying group. Jews, including Senator Sanders, do not all line up behind Netanyahu. And if you only do so to keep votes, you are as guilty as Netanyahu and every Israeli who blinds themselves to the fact that they are not the victims now — they are the aggressors. I vehemently reject my tax dollars supporting a genocide. This is my answer to “what would you have done when Hitler was alive?” I always wondered. Now I know. I will protest to my last breath, and I will fight Trump and his copycat playbook, too. But you are ignoring the will of your constituents by supporting genocide. And your job is to make the moral case for ending support for this war to those constituents who don’t agree with you yet. You are in a position to save possibly millions. Instead, you support killing them. I strongly recommend you check your conscience, and see whether you’re trying hard enough (or even trying!) to stop this corrupt man from slaughtering people to avoid consequences for his own actions. History will see you as you are.
