Make this make sense.
The party that claims to defend family values pardons January 6 rioters who assaulted police officers, yet people are arrested for touching a reflecting pool damaged after a failed taxpayer funded project.
If damaging government property is the concern, perhaps Congress should investigate the officials and political allies responsible for turning national landmarks into expensive embarrassments. The Oval Office, the East Wing, the Rose Garden, the Kennedy Center, and the reflecting pool have all become monuments to vanity, poor judgment, fraud and waste.
More importantly, why is so much energy spent policing concrete while politically connected individuals accused or convicted of abusing, exploiting, assaulting, or molesting children continue to receive excuses, protection, pardons, and silence?
Americans see the double standard.
One set of rules for the powerful.
Another for everyone else.
Republicans are not losing public trust because of Democrats.
They are losing it because too many elected officials have traded principle for loyalty, oversight for excuses, and courage for obedience.
Congress was elected to defend the Constitution, protect the public, and hold the powerful accountable. Instead, many of you appear determined to protect one man from the consequences of his own conduct.
Wake up.
America does not need another excuse, another cover up, or another loyalty test.
Arrest the true criminals who are destroying America!
