I am absolutely outraged by this budget nonsense—the blatant theft from the poor to line the pockets of the rich. This is not responsible governance. This is cruelty disguised as policy, and I am disgusted that you are standing by while it happens.
Alabamians are struggling. People are working harder than ever just to get by, and instead of offering solutions, this Congress is making it worse. Slashing social programs, gutting Medicaid, attacking food assistance—what exactly do you think happens when you rip away these lifelines? You are choosing to inflict suffering on the people you were elected to serve, all so billionaires can get yet another tax break they don’t need.
This budget is a moral failure. You and your colleagues are prioritizing the wealthiest elite while turning your backs on working families, children, seniors, and disabled Americans. How do you justify that? Do you really believe that making it harder for people to afford food, housing, and healthcare is good for this country? Because it’s not. It’s disgraceful.
I demand to know: Why are you supporting a budget that punishes the poor while rewarding the rich? Who do you really work for? Because right now, it sure doesn’t look like it’s the people of Alabama. I expect a response.
