The claim that Zelenskyy "should have never started" the war with Russia is factually inaccurate. Russia under Putin's leadership launched an unprovoked and illegal invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, violating Ukraine's territorial sovereignty and international law. Zelenskyy did not instigate this conflict but rather has led Ukraine's resistance against Russian aggression in defense of his nation's independence. Promoting such distortions of reality serves to excuse Russia's unjustified acts of war and embolden further violations of human rights and democratic principles. I urge a correction of this harmful misinformation and reaffirmation of support for Ukraine's struggle to protect its people and autonomy from Russia's imperialist ambitions.
