Mr McCormick, I rise today in opposition of the SAVE America Act. It is plausible thar you LOST your first stare-wide election due to an informed electorate.  Your victory by 15000 votes COULD have been by illegitimately counted votes IF your unreasonable fears of alien voters are valid. What is your verifiable example of any election that was NOT legitimate? Trump’s assertion that the 2020 Presidential election was compromised in ANY way has been repeatedly debunked.  Please find another example. You cite a case where Chester Country disenfrancised 70,000 eligible voters.  How does that logically automatically lead to the erroneous determination of eligibility of  illegitimate voters.  More specifically - HOW will the SAVE America Act preclude illegal voters given that ALL voters MUST be registered IAW Pennsylvania’s current voter registration process?  If that process is flawed, why have YOU not tried to rectify that problem previously? I actually do object to your assertion that there is a voter fraud or illegitimacy problems in America’s elections.  Innumerable claims have been made but there have been ZERO documented cases of more than literally a handful of valid examples.  NONE that affected the outcome. You claim that SAVE America will prevent illegal voting by requiring proof of citizenship AND photo ID.  These are commendable goals but I fail to see how the Act will be any more diligent or accurate than the current process.  And it places enormously onerous requirements on citizens who do not possess a raised symbol birth certificate or acceptable documentation for name changes such as due to marriage. How does SAVE America assist states in removing illegitimate voters from its registration rolls?  Will every state be required to re-register all voters?  How ELSE does the act perform this miracle? Finally, how does the Act improve enforcement for registering ineligible voters?  It is already a violation presumably punishable for willful violation.  What does SAVE America add to the enforcement measures?  I tire of refuting your position line by line.  I submit that the SAVE America Act does NOT alleviate ANY of the registration shortcomings you fear.  But it DOES make it harder for legitimate voters to register.  It adds additional time, effort and costs for citizens to meet the new eligibility requirements.  It harkens back to nefarious times in our history where poll taxes and egregious intellectual standards were used to EXCLUDE eligible voters based on the color of their skin. The SAVE America Act is a thinly veiled attempt to exclude voters based on their political party affiliation.  I have come to expect this sort of discrimination from our President, but it is distressing to see YOU adopt his unacceptable standard.  This becomes just ANOTHER reason for me to actively support your opponent, whomever that may be, in your next election.
