Senator Gillibrand Should resign Her blatant racism and Islamophobia against Zohran Mamdani when unity against the GOP should be paramount. As a Jewish New Yorker, her weaponization of Antisemitism disgusts my fiancé and myself. Criticism of Israel is not antisemitic and the trump admin is using that to deport people and quell dissent. That fact that she cannot recognize shows how out of depth she is in the current political climate. I expect an open apology and support for the next New York mayor from the party leadership. And if not then retire and let someone step up who wants to fight.
