A Solemn Call to Defend Religious Freedom and Our Shared Humanity The moral character of our republic depends upon our commitment defending fundamental freedoms when they are most aggressively undermined. Today, we witness a repetitive, synchronized campaign of targeted anti-Muslim rhetoric. From local municipal boards to the highest office in the nation, coordinated factions within public leadership are normalizing hostility against Muslim Americans. It is a calculated assault on the bedrock principle of religious liberty. When elected representatives use public platforms to dehumanize a faith community, portray neighbors as threats, and stoke division, they do not merely fracture social trust—they invite violence and compromise public safety. Silence in the face of deliberate bigotry serves as tacit approval. Leaders of conscience speak up and uphold their oath to the Constitution, which guarantees equal protection and freedom of worship to all. I urge you to issue a clear denunciation of this violent anti-Muslim rhetoric. Condemn these coordinated attacks explicitly, reaffirm your commitment to protecting all faith communities, and demonstrate that hatred has no legitimate seat in our government.
