In the name of science and progress, vote No on the budget bill

I am deeply concerned about the House-passed Budget Bill and the damage it would do to our economy, our communities, and our future. Thanks to current laws that support advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and sustainable transportation, the United States has made meaningful progress in building a forward-looking economy with strong jobs and world-class innovation. This bill would slash those hard-won gains and put our progress at serious risk. I urge you to vote NO on this budget bill. It would hurt people, communities, and businesses across the country while handing out even more giveaways to fossil fuel polluters—at the expense of our health and wallets. Please also oppose any efforts to cut funding for scientific research, federal programs, and agencies that support our shared future. These investments have repeatedly delivered direct benefits to people and the economy, and most Americans strongly support them. This budget bill would undermine U.S. leadership in science and innovation, kill good-paying jobs, cancel infrastructure investments, slash nutrition assistance, and drive up electricity costs. We simply cannot afford to go backward. Your constituents are counting on you to protect the programs that work for us. Thank you for standing up for our communities and our future.
