Urge FCC to require access for telecom services to disabled customers

To: Sen. Warren, Sen. Markey, Rep. Trahan

From: A verified voter in Fitchburg, MA

April 6

The FCC just allowed telecommunications service providers to retire copper line networks, which are essential for proper functioning of TTY/TDD devices used by deaf and other disabled users. These services can are life-and-death for their users, allowing them to make 911 and other emergency calls. Please urge the FCC to require that telecommunications service providers provide equal access for all users as they modernize their networks.
