Just a simple reminder that only Congress can declare war. The president’s foolish action today needs to be addressed by the congress forthwith. It makes him look weak as he bends knee to the leader of Israel and does his bidding. It weakens our country as it entangles us in yet another foreign conflict. Before we go further down this path, congress must step up and take their constitutional responsibilities seriously. Ceding power to the president in this situation would be foolhardy and unethical.
