People/entities who can afford to influence our government disproportionately with their political spending, have no business (though it’s “good business” by their own moral measure) influencing our government so disproportionately. That such an influence does not actually seem a threat to Government of/by/for the People is merely a product of how much they've influenced that Government, and Us, the People. The danger is now clear, and it is present, but not enough people think so. Not "the right people," anyway. What will you do, as lawmakers, to correct this? Frankly, it’s rather like fixing the barn door long after the horses have escaped, but this retired Federal Defense civilian wants to know, on behalf of my nation and its society, and my former Federal oath, which I know you took as well.
