This legislation needlessly jeopardizes vital funding for free school meals, domestic violence support, and infrastructure grants that benefit vulnerable communities. It is a blatant overstep of federal authority that undermines states' rights and risks unjustly targeting immigrant populations. Enacting this would fail to enhance public safety while inflicting undue hardship, fear, and stress on society's most vulnerable members. For these reasons, I must vote no on this misguided proposal.
