I am writing to you after seeing the footage of Sen. Padilla being assaulted at a press conference by the DHS secretary. This is a red line -- there can be no regular business while the people responsible for this remain in their positions. You must refuse to allow any legislative business to proceed until the DHS secretary has been removed and the federal agents responsible for this are fired. Unlike what Sen. Schumer seems to think, we don't need answers -- we know what they did, and we know why they are doing it. They just said it out loud. The DHS secretary outright said they are there to get rid of the rightfully elected leadership in LA and California. If you don't take action now, this will spread, and we know that Chicago and Illinois will be in their sights next. YOU will be next. You cannot compartmentalize other legislative action and this assault on our rights -- fight for us now or get out of the way.
