Strip Section 224 from the 2027 NDAA

To: Sen. Peters, Rep. McDonald Rivet, Sen. Slotkin

From: A verified voter in Mount Morris, MI

June 5

Vote to strip Section 224 from the 2027 NDAA. This provision would create a formal US-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative, embedding our military into joint procurement, codevelopment, and data-sharing arrangements with the Israeli military — the same military whose commander-in-chief, Benjamin Netanyahu, is wanted by the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Netanyahu himself called Section 224 "my plan." That alone should end the debate. The US has already sent more than $20 billion in military aid to Israel since October 7, 2023. Section 224 doesn't reduce that entanglement — it deepens it, while moving support out of transparent foreign aid and into a maze of Pentagon procurement and backdoor deals that are far harder for Congress to monitor or reverse. The Quincy Institute's Ben Freeman called this an "unprecedented level of US-Israeli military integration." Rep. Thomas Massie has pledged to work with Rep. Ro Khanna on a floor amendment to remove it. Support that amendment.
