The support base for someone like Trump required assembly for decades, based on centuries-old racist and reactionary ideals, before The Orange Turd's rise: a large base population of people agitated by propaganda and manipulated by faith and thought leaders to cling tenaciously to the outdated, anti-equality, anti-intellectual, anti-environment, anti-societal, and irrational values which he and the radical elements of the GOP would come to champion. Hating Barack Obama was "the new thing" on which Felon 47 rose to power, his supporters' rallying call as it were. They had among their number church ladies sharing chain e-mails about hating Obama and Hillary, and how dangerous to our Christian Nation they were. That Big Business was behind it all becomes obvious when you see how poorly ANY currently successful political or government leader now wants to fight it, despite the whole thing being a genuine Clear and Present Danger, a domestic threat to our Constitution. They can't do it: they'd be biting the hand that bought them.
