Urge ceasefire and diplomatic solution for Israeli-Palestinian conflict

To: Sen. Stabenow, Rep. Dingell, Pres. Biden, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Ypsilanti, MI

July 3

The ongoing violence and loss of life in Gaza is deeply concerning. The Israeli military offensive has already claimed numerous civilian casualties, including children, and caused immense suffering and destruction. The disproportionate use of force against a densely populated civilian area is unacceptable under international law. I urge an immediate ceasefire and call for restraint from all sides to prevent further escalation. Ultimately, a just and lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that addresses the root causes and upholds the rights of all people is crucial. I request your leadership in pursuing a diplomatic solution that can end this cycle of violence and pave the way for peace through dialogue, respect for human rights, and adherence to international law.
