Executive Branch Should Not Bypass Balance of Power

To: Rep. Clyde, Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock

From: A verified voter in Talking Rock, GA

April 15

Tariffs are a great concern to me. I think we all see sense in legislative oversight for executive decisions, and this is one that is important, because prices and international relationships are on the line. Also, deporting American citizens to foreign detention centers, even if they are criminals, is another area of illegality where the Executive Branch should not be trying to do an “end run” around Congress. Everyone should be concerned about this, regardless of party. Balance of Powers exists for a reason, even when government leaders are in essential agreement with each other. Thank you for your attention to this.
