I do not want any additional mining anywhere near the Boundary Water! Have you ever been there? Do you know what a special place it is? Yes, I understand there is mining and has been in Minnesota for some time. However, please read what the scientists are saying about this issue! The type of mining you are voting on this is radically different and so much worse for people and animals and the environment. On top of that, this will open up a national security issue. These are not USA mining companies with the rights to mine. This will put us at risk of foreign companies holding control over these minerals and our land. Please vote no to mining anywhere near the Boundary Waters. If I could, I would send you pictures of our family vacation there, where 5 kids ages 8-13 frolicked and played for days, with no iPads or phones or even any ppl other than family in sight.
